Thread: Awful design

Most time i thought all forums are removed. It is at the bottom of bottom. Most left.
Get new forum software , this one blows. ofcourse i can host my own forum then i can't post...because host can't take side. hahhaa.

Anyways... Nothing wrong...people do always do things when it is their time.

The design is very rough at the moment, I agree. It is only half finished and I am waiting on a developer to complete the design requests. I think that you will be more pleased with the final design

I would be interested to see you host a forum also. Would you go for a minimalist look like this?:

I won't host a forum. I don't even have my own site. Main reason is no need to promote my ideas.

But if i were to host a website , nice forum theme. There are many forum that has better look. Vbulletin ,phpbb has good forum themes.

Also i will have good decent font.

Also i do not mix forum and site like you put with two frames. Bad. Your site links can be on top of forum.

Or your main site page can be site page with forum link.

For basic content site like these , font and composition needs to be clean. Not ads left and right. All ads to be right side. No ad on top or left.

At present your site look like the SPAM site.

Make it clean. More viewers will stay and post. Some people just want to post and some just want to read.

So do not mix your forum and site like now. BAD BAD look.

Thanks for the advice. The software here is actually vBulletin but it has undergone partial modification. As there are so many standard type vBulletin forums then why not experiment with some new ideas?

Yes, I want to change the font and advertising can be a pain but the revenue is needed to help support the running and development of the site. I have experimented with various ad placement options and the current one has quite a good click through rate. Anyway I will be having a changearound soon. The main changes can only take place with the help of a vBulletin developer and it has been difficult to source one for various reasons.

Please explain what you mean by mixing forum with site. You say "Your site links can be on top of forum"-well that is how it is presently. What do you mean by 2 frames? My site is not using frames.

Are you seeing something different on your browser? As I see it the site links are in the main header above the forum. In any case I am not sure why integrating the forum more with the site is necessarily bad. I would appreciate a bit more detail on this, cheers.
