Things aren't always what they seem

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.
The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.Â*
Instead the angels were given a space in the cold basement.Â*
As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.Â*
When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied...
"Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor,
but very hospitable farmer and his wife.
Â*After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.Â*
When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.
Â*Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income,?lay dead in the field.Â*
The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel,
"how could you have let this happen!??
The first man had everything, yet you helped him,"Â* she accused.Â*

"The second family had little but was willing to share everything,
and you let their cow die."??
"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.
" When we stayed in the basement of the mansion,
I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.
Â* Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune,
I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it.

?Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife.
Â*I gave her the cow instead.
Things aren't always what they seem."??
Sometimes this is exactly what happens
when things don't turn out the way they should.

Â*If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome
is always to your advantage.

Â*You might not know it until some time later.

I think the word your looking for is lucky ...

Saying this though .. it's very true . .things are never what they seem .. unless they are !

In my experience the answers to the questions are always answered in advance to your physical realisation .. in other words ..

The angel had already asked the farmer which he would prefer whilst he was unconcious (asleep) however fully concious ( in / with spirit) .. the farmer obviously chose to lose the cow knowing that it would be replaced at a later date; however, he conciously mourned the loss of his income whilst sub-conciously he was laughing his head off ! .. more or less ... he & his wife are still in for a big surprise when a shiny new polished lamborghini cow drops on his doorstep one morning while he's cleaning his false teeth ...

One of the basic principals (yes, I meant to type it this way) of the universe is that you may not instill your will upon another ..

An Angel by virtue will follow this principal and therefore allow free will to enter into the decision making process .. please do not forget that the rich guy also has a say in the whole pie .. he (in spirit) agreed to his concious greed to be curtailed and also agreed to supply the lamborghini to the poor farmer and his wife as penance .. it's a bit of a scrooge story really when you look at it from an angels perspective ..

but you just added that bit on to the end,
the rich guy probably owned the land the poor guy lived on and without extra milk from there trusted cow that they would sell at market to pay the landlord aka the rich guy, and now they have no rent money so they would be evicted,
I bet that if the guy knew that would ask for the wife to rest in peace, cynical maybe, but probably closer to the truth
